扬州国际展览中心的建筑造型为大跨度的弧屋面组合斜墙构成，主体为大跨度无柱钢结构体系，净层高20米，屋面为金属保温复合板，立面通过大面积通透的玻璃将四周优美的景观收纳于馆内。建筑新颖简洁流畅、气势恢弘、具有独特的创造性和较高的文化品位和时代气息，以成为扬州面向二十一世纪对外开放的主要窗口；展场四周共有九个人流出入口，二个物流出入口，保证开展期间人员及货物能安全有序的进出。体现扬州特色、展示现代风采的形象工程。
扬州国际展览中心占地250亩，一期工程建筑面积为15000平方米，展览主馆的面积为8100平方米， 可自由分割另设有服务区、休闲区、办公区等多种配套服务设施。展览室外展场面积达4000平方米，可以视展览而分设。
扬州国际展览中心，采用大跨度无柱钢结构，可搭建400个标佳展位室外有湖滨广场，既可举办盛大庆典活动，也可布置室外展台全部配套设施均按照国际惯例设计，如PDS综合布线。计算机网络系统、公共广播系统、电话自动交换系统等，可满足各种类型的展览需要。此外中心还设有办公、商务、休闲等多种配套服务设施。
